About MCRW
Music City Romance Writers is Nashville’s Romance Writers of America® chapter. Our goal is to provide support, information, and resources to both published and unpublished authors of romance, women’s fiction and other literary genres. We have designed this site so that writers can obtain information about MCRW membership, upcoming events, other sites of interest, and to utilize our extensive network. (Note: Only members of RWA® may join MCRW, so be sure to include your RWA membership when you join.) The following are the benefits offered to members of MCRW:
- Monthly chapter meetings with workshops on the craft and business of writing
- Annual retreat for fellowship with authors and schmoozing with industry professionals
- Annual Melody of Love Contest that offers judge training, critiques of entrants’ writing and the chance to get your work in front of an editor
- The opportunity to form critique groups with fellow MCRW members
- Monthly chapter newsletter, Love Notes, which offers articles on the craft and business of writing, market news, listings of our published members’ upcoming books, research information, etc.
- Useful, private and simple to use mailing loop to share information with other MCRW members
- A New Member Packet with information on our e-mail loops, the basics of writing romance, our chapter bylaws, a listing of helpful research sources, and a complete listing of our published members’ books
- A chapter library of loaner material on the craft and business of writing
