Vice President, Gretchen Stull

New York Times bestselling author Gretchen Stull was feverishly writing her Master’s thesis (on zombies!) when her mother shoved a paranormal romance novel into her hands. The book came with strict instructions to take a break from research and read something for fun. A mere 416 pages later, Gretchen was hooked. She finished her thesis, collected her degree, moved to Nashville, and promptly traded academic and nonfiction writing for the wonderful world of genre fiction. Gretchen has held a variety of jobs, from film critic to public speaking instructor to door-to-door knife salesperson, but writing has always been her passion. She now writes paranormal romance and steampunk. Please visit her blog atgretchenstull.blogspot.com.

Newsletter Editor, Charlotte Margolis

In a small town in South Arkansas, Charlotte grew up surrounded by dozens of aunts, uncles & cousins. As a teenager, she spent hours on the banks of Bradshaw’s Pond with pen and paper in one hand and a fishing pole in the other, stealing a little solitude and making up stories about life in the big city.

As an adult surrounded by kids and grandkids of her own, Charlotte still carries pen and paper wherever she goes, but her stories have changed from big city lights to historical romance and small town life. Visit her blog at  www.mywritersattic.blogspot.com.

Contest Coordinator & Communications Officer, Jody Wallace

Jody Wallace writes paranormal romance as herself (Samhain Publishing) and spicy romance as Ellie Marvel (Red Sage Publishing, Samhain Publishing). She went to school a long time because she couldn’t find a job and ended up with a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing. Her resume includes college English instructor, technical documents editor, market analyst, web designer, meanest mom ever, and general all around pain in the butt. She currently lives in Tennessee, and she’s active in her home chapter of MCRW. One of her many alter egos at MCRW is “The Grammar Wench”, which should give you an indication of her character. She can usually be conned into coordinating MCRW’s annual writing contest and likes to conduct training sessions for contest judges or aspiring critiquers. She also likes cats. A lot. You can find her online at www.jodywallace.com and her much more famous cat online at www.meankitty.com.
